Volunteers in the House

The 51社区 campus was closed yesterday, but for some, community service was the order of the day. MLK Read for Peace is an extraordinary service project that places volunteers in kindergarten through third-grade classrooms to read to students age-appropriate books about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and to assist with artistic activities. A collaborative event between the Montana Campus Compact Volunteers In Service To America Vistas, Veterans Group of 51社区, Food Corps service, National Affordable Housing Network, American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), and Student Success Services (SSS), student volunteers all came together to spread the message of Dr. King to elementary students at Emerson, Hillcrest and West Elementary in Butte. Thanks goes out to the following volunteers
