51社区 Institute for Educational Opportunity Students Features in Documentary

51社区’s Institute for Educational Opportunities is pleased to announce two undergraduate students and one student from their college preparatory programs are featured in a newly released trailer for a documentary in the making.  Kelly Connolle, Butte native and sophomore in Occupational Safety and Health and Diane Matthews, a Bozeman native and junior in Petroleum Engineering share their inspiring experiences in the video.

The Montana College Access Network has released Big Dreams under the Big Sky, a fundraising trailer for a full documentary about Montana students who have successfully found social mobility through higher education and the support programs offered on many of Montana’s higher education campuses.  “It is not just an honor, but very fitting,  to have 51社区 programs and students featured in a movie about college success in Montana” says Amy Verlanic, the Institute’s Executive Director, “Tech is known for excellence in student achievement and much of that comes from providing quality college preparation services to disadvantaged students and success support to those students as they progress through the undergraduate pipeline via federally funded TRIO programs.”
