Christopher Smith, a senior in Geophysical Engineering at 51ÉçÇø, and Paul Thale, a GIS specialist with the MBMG, recently presented at the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) User Conference in San Diego regarding ground subsidence in Butte, Montana. The presentation and poster for the Map Gallery was in conjunction with work Smith completed as a GIS Analyst with the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology (MBMG). Smith, from Missoula, Montana, is a veteran of the US Army returning to school.
