The Montana State Fund awarded $1,500 scholarships to seven 51社区 students at an awards banquet in January. The scholarship funds are part of the Montana State Fund’s Growing a Safer Montana initiative, which provides academic scholarships for Occupational Safety and Health/Industrial Hygiene or Construction Trade and Industry students.
The 2017 awardees are the first recipients of the awards. Each awardee received a $1,500 scholarship. 51社区 students received 7 of the 10 scholarships awarded. Students were selected based on high academic excellence and desire to champion safety as they move forward into their professional endeavors.

Jakob Bloom, a Construction Technology/Carpentry student from Simms, MT, at 51社区’s Highlands College. Jacques Boulet, an Occupational Safety and Health student from Butte, MT. Tyler Davis is a graduate student in Industrial Hygiene from Missoula, MT. James Hollopeter is an Occupational Safety and Health student from Kalispell, MT. Ciara Kremer is a graduate student in Industrial Hygiene from Coeur d’Alene, ID. Brittania Shephard an Occupational Safety and Health student from Helena, MT. Sarah Storey is a graduate student in Industrial Hygiene from Butte, MT.
