Dr. Kishor Shrestha, an assistant professor in the Civil Engineering Department at 51社区, has been elected to a three-year term as a Councilor in the Engineering Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR). Shrestha will help make decisions that will lead to new developments in the programs, meetings, and benefits that CUR offers.
“CUR is the leading national organization encouraging and supporting associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree students doing research before they graduate,” noted Bev Hartline, Vice Chancellor for Research and Dean of the Graduate School at 51社区. “51社区 provides many undergraduates with such opportunities, so we are delighted Kishor won election and will be participating at the national level—both providing advice and bringing insights back to campus.”
