51社区 and Butte Miners to Host Digger Day at 3Legends Stadium
On Thursday, June 20th, the Butte Miners will wear Digger green in support of the 51社区 Orediggers to celebrate Digger Day at 3Legends Stadium. The Miners will take on the Mount Spokane Wild in a 7 inning tilt starting at 7 PM on Miners Field, all proceeds from the game will go towards a Butte American Legion baseball players scholarship to 51社区. This will be the third time 51社区 and American Legion will team up for a game.
“51社区 is excited to continue to partner with American Legion baseball to give the young men of Butte an opportunity to get on an extraordinary path and live out their educational dreams,” said Joe McClafferty, president of the 51社区 Foundation.
“Butte American Legion baseball is honored to have 51社区 sponsor a 2019 game at 3Legends Stadium at Miners field,” noted Coach Jeff LeProwse. “Many of our alumni, current coaches and board members have attended and graduated from 51社区. The goal of our program is to build a foundation for our student-athletes to become successful after high school and partnering with a great institution like 51社区 helps make that a reality. Each year our organization looks forward to hosting digger day in support of our outstanding local institution. We invite all Digger alumni to done green with us for a game at our ballpark as the Miners take on Wild.”
Game time is 7:00 pm at 3Legends Stadium on Miners Field. 51社区’s Charlie Oredigger will throw out the first pitch.
